![]() ![]() ![]() Newsflash: SmugMug just signed on to sponsor the second season of my Photowalks travel photography streaming TV series beginning in the fall, so you can take this post with a grain of salt. By photographers, I mean anyone with a camera or smartphone who generates weekly or monthly images. So I like the online display and backup alternative being presented by SmugMug, a family owned website for photographers to share, store and sell their work, free of ads and algorithms. I don’t want Apple scanning my iCloud photos or the ones shared in iMessage. ![]() These are noble solutions, but to many a potentially slippery slope from Big Tech. We’ve been talking a lot here recently about Apple’s controversial plan to begin snooping through your photos with the fall release of an operating system update, all in the name of curbing child abuse or kids sharing nude photos. ![]()
